train transportation is much more bike friendly in poland .. i have seen a picture once of a friend of my sleeping on the bag rack.. and all the bikes in the train parked massively..
  • + 2
flag spaced (Mar 3, 2010 at 9:48)
Legal trails are a luxury here, no real bikeparks like highland or diablo (or euro counterparts).

- cyberhawk - it's not always that easy and not all trais have normal space for bikes. Also only on select routes the go faster than you'd go on your bike Wink

The overall trail number is lower also. I'm not sure how developed is the cali network of trails but I've heard good things. I'm mostly comparing it to european spots that I know - they beat us in the nuts. Too much hostility towards bikes in too many places still.
  • + 1
flag KURTSUCKS (Mar 5, 2010 at 10:16)
whats cali?maybe its because most of riders there are like as annoying as bmx`ers.hahaha thats why the people hate bikers
  • + 1
flag spaced (Mar 5, 2010 at 15:15)
California? Wink Seriously you don;t see the problem around here. People just like to hate stuff around here. We still haven't shaken out of the communist time thinking. At least some of the older people didn't and they still have a lot of power.

i dont wanna preach.. but it isnt so bad your country is still a little bit conservative..look @ the rest of europe.. we aint getting anybetter and nowhere..
at least you can build your own tracks without being really scared they will get torn donw.. @here nothing is allowed..

flag spaced (Mar 8, 2010 at 11:16)
The rest of europe? Have you been outside of holland? The swiss, italians and french build insane amounts of new resorts + really big numbers of quality tracks. I try to visit west euro spots 2 times a year and its much better than here. I dont' really understand your resoning - the trails are mostly illegal here and not even comparable to german, austrian, slovenian, czech, slovak, french, spanish, swiss or italian resorts. What is better? Some idea that gives us nothing? Sry but many illegal tracks get modified destroyed (all the wooden features in one of the most popular spots in here were destroyed + there are some other problems). In many cases the locals fight with bikers in a way that it can endanger your life - planks with spikes and steel ropes at 1m. Do you really think we are any better than holand beside the fact that we have mountains? Wink (btw. it takes me about the same to go to mountains as it would probably take you to visit winterberg)
  • + 1
flag cyberhawk  (Mar 9, 2010 at 0:38)
i wasnt only talking about MTB tracks.. BUT i didnt know the locals were so agressive against bikers..? its a 4hour drive to winterberg for me..8 hours to austria.. and so on.. i have to travel for FR/DH.. thats why i ride more trials and street and so.. i can do that in the city.. thats why i said you are still lucky to have the opportunity to ride.. illegal or not Smile
  • + 1
flag spaced (Mar 9, 2010 at 2:31)
I have a 4-5hour drive to most spots which are 1/4 of the quality winterberg offers. In many cases 8 hours for some of the nat cup track. The capital is pretty far away from the mountains Wink
